Annual Request for Christmas/Holiday Cards Post

Okay, guys... soon as I FIND them again (buying cards in advance and then moving... yeah), I have an entire box of cards to write in and send out. Doing the usual last week of November first week of December, so I figure I need to get myself organised.

If anyone wants to send me a card, my address is changed. You can email me at wordsleadmeon @ livejournal .com or leave a comment. As always with the Card post, comments are set to screen by default. And if anyone not listed below would like a card, feel free to ask! Even if we don't know each other very well. I love sending out cards, it's one of my favourite parts of the holiday!

Just do what I did and register what you already do. There's lots of really simple stuff that I've been doing for forever. Got a few ideas for more stuff to do. You'll be amazed at the difference you're already making without even realising it, I'm sure!

Gotta say, Leonardo DiCaprio's PSA about voting? Probably the coolest PSA I've ever seen. And I mean, so many celebs it makes my head spin, including a few Jossverse Alum (not that I'm shocked by the concept after the last US election. Really not), with an awesome message.



Watch, Register, Vote. Seriously, guys... it's important. Don't be like my sister who's just "I'm not gonna vote because I can't be bothered to figure out what each party stands for"... that's no way to be. Get out there, try to effect change. Earn your right to bitch about the direction your country's going in, because hey, at least you tried! If there was something this cool for Canada's election, I would have posted it already, trust me.

And on that note? CANADA? The English Leader's debate is tonight at 9 Est/6 Pac. CBC, CTV, you name it, they're probably airing it.

No VM calendar for 2009 (much to my great sadness) as far as I can tell... which brings a conundrum...

Smallville? Buffy? I don't hate the layout of the Buffy one this year... but I'm liking the layout of the Smallville one better on the sample page view. I don't know... thoughts? Assuming Calendars count as books and can be shipped to Canada, I could also go the Gossip Girl route. Let's face it, I'm never gonna be the girl who has a calendar full of flowers.

Speaking of Smallville... I bought myself a little cheer up present. I'm sure Anna would get on my case under normal circumstances because a) I owe her 30 dollars for the dress for the wedding for the two month long marriage still, and b) I'm apparently too much of a fangirl for her liking at times... But you know what? Don't care. Just don't. This would be the type of thing Nora'd probably buy for me if she could afford it just to make me smile, and really, I couldn't afford it, but I did it anyway. *shrugs*

And now I should sleep because there's a house showing in like, 6 hours.

Note to self, attempt to renew library books tomorrow. This week has been such a wash productivity wise between the migraine of doom and all the drama.

I was so tired at 7:30 I could barely keep my eyes open, but didn't go to bed because I didn't want to wake up before the sun got up...

Really thinking it would have been better to do so now, as I hit my second wind at about 10pm and have been wide awake ever since.

How 'bout next time I'm dead tired at 7:30 and I don't have any pressing assignments due the next morning, I just sleep? Yeah, sounds like a plan. I so don't want to oversleep tomorrow... well, today now, since we lose an hour this weekend on top of everything. God, I hate March even more now. Who's stupid idea was it to EXTEND DST? UGH.

Plan for the weekend, just for my own reference, since I'm here:
~ Read and comment on the 5 stories posted after mine for CREW 320.
~ Write at least 15 pages for CREW 340, pages are due next Friday.
~ Do a decent amount of research for my paper for English 262...preferably online if possible (I ♥ article indexes with full text). Or at least figure out what I need to track down at the library and do that Sunday. It's due in 18 days.

Still supremely weirded out by Global airing Big Love. Really and Truly. I love what we somehow manage to get away with airing on main networks here. I didn't notice any glaring edits out of 1x04 and 5, and those are the only ones I've seen on Global... now, if I was smart I would have compared 5 to the shooting script that's still on my computer, hey?

Going in search of elusive sleep now.

First... I love all my friends dearly. I do. I've never been the type to not be friends with one person just because I don't get along with one of their friends or vice versa. If that was true I wouldn't be friends with Anna, Kyla and Tyler. Ashley and Anna don't get along. Anna and Kyla don't get along. Kyla and practically everyone don't get along. Tyler and Ali don't get along... but they are all still my friends.

That being said, if there are any of you on here that feel like they can no longer be friends with me because I'm not friends with Heidi... well, I'm not going to try to change your mind, because nobody but you can do that but you and you'll believe whatever side of the story you want. I know this well enough from how everything shook out when Alison and Bryan split. If any of you do decide to defriend me, I guess it was great while it lasted, and best of luck in the future.

I wanted to take a moment to wish my darling Nikki a very happy birthday. I think I've only missed one since we started RPing together and that was because of lack of internet...

Anyway, I hope you have an amazing day, whatever you end up doing. Happy 18th! it's almost amazing we've known each other so long, isn't it? You were what, 13 when we met? *love and hugs*
